While many students who have tried studying online degrees are going back to school in order to have the widely-accepted college and university diplomas, there are now several employers who welcome degrees earned through online education.

A 2008 survey conducted by Vault Incorporated emphasizes that online learning is more accepted these days compared to five years ago. 83% of the respondents believes that this is true.

Majority of the employers (49% of the overall sample) who were taken as respondents to the survey had experienced facing applications having online degrees. 19% of the employers did not mind if a degree was earned online; they actually hired those candidates who finished their online education.

It simply goes to show that despite the consideration for those who have traditional degrees, online education is still given enough attention by employers.
